Fall Protection - Tanker Truck Rail
Our client required the design of a cost effective and practical solution for providing a permanent fall protection system on a typical tanker truck and tanker trailer. EESI's engineering team researched and located an off-the-shelf product that could be adapted to the situation. A sliding rail system was used and anchorage designed to ensure the loads are transferred properly. The tank can now be accessed via the elevated walking platform and the worker is now protected from the fall hazard. The system is in compliance with the OSHA requirements for fall protection.
Fall Protection - Railcar
Our client required the design of a cost effective and practical solution for providing a permanent fall protection system on the existing building structure of their facility for maintaining railcars. Sliding rail systems were installed with appropriate anchorage designed to ensure the loads are transferred properly to the building structure. Portions of the existing building structure were evaluated for the additional load requirements. The system is in compliance with the OSHA requirements for fall protection.
Fall Protection - Nick Wallenda
Our client required design verification of a long span, high tension, single cable system for use by Nick Wallenda during a tightrope walk over Horseshoe Falls. EESI's engineering team reviewed the cable system design and anchorage design then provided onsite engineering support, inspection, and oversight of testing and monitoring of the system during the event.
Fall Protection - Mold-Machine Platforms
Our client had multiple different mold machines that required safe, unfettered access to certain parts of the machine including feed hoppers. EESI's engineering team designed custom ladders and platforms to provide safe access to the desired locations. EESI's partner company Fall Protection by Design installed the ladder modifications and now the client is compliant with OSHA fall protection requirements while accessing these locations.
